Dennis was raised in Smithville, Oklahoma in Northern McCurtain County. His parents are the late Everett Bailey and JoAnn Bailey. He is married to Karen Ann and has three children, Leah, Dennis Jr. and Megan.

Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Oklahoma State University, 1975
