Dale is a native Oklahoman. He was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, January 17, 1950. His parents are the late Ed DeWitt and Ramona DeWitt. He is married to Carol (Grell), and their children are Garrett DeWitt and Camille Holt. They have four grandchildren.
