Munson Chosen to Participate in Henry Toll Fellowship

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Cyndi Munson (D-OKC) has been accepted into the 2019 Henry Toll Fellowship Class.

The Toll Fellowship Program, hosted by the Council of State Governments, is a six-day leadership course specifically for state-level government officials.

“I believe it is important to retreat from daily life to take on professional development opportunities to learn, reflect, and grow,” Munson said. “I am grateful to have the time to sharpen my skills, learn new skills, and build relationships with leaders across the country.”

The program chooses 48 state-level lawmakers and government leaders to attend the training. According to the Council of State Governments website, the experience challenges participants to move out of their comfort zones and take an introspective look at how they view themselves as leaders.

Munson is hoping the course will help her continue to grow as a representative for District 85 so that she may better serve her constituents in the future.

“I am looking forward to bringing what I learn home to better the lives of people in House District 85 and the state of Oklahoma,” Munson said. “I am so honored to be a Toll Fellow.”
