WHAT: Interim study investigating Management Company Fraud in Oklahoma’s rural hospitals.

WHY: To gain an understanding of the factors that have contributed to the closure of six rural hospitals and bankruptcy of seven others since 2010, the subsequent fallout and litigation that has taken place, and possible solutions to avoid predatory entities in the future and restore healthcare access to underserved rural communities.
