Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, congratulated the University of Oklahoma women's softball team and Coach Patty Gasso on their Wednesday win of the 2023 Women's College World Series. 

"I want to congratulate Coach Patty Gasso and the University of Oklahoma women's softball team for winning the 2023 Women's College World Series. 

This team made history on multiple fronts, not only winning the championship for a third year in a row, but also setting the record for the best winning percentage in college softball in a single season. 

They are the epitome of hard work, determination and excellence and I am proud of not only their accomplishments, but the fact that they call Oklahoma home. Boomer Sooner!"
