McBride Condemns Attack on Israel
OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Mark McBride, R-Moore, today condemned the terrorist attack on Israel by the group Hamas, which has killed at least 40 civilians so far and wounded more than 700, according to latest reports. The death and injured count is anticipated to grow as further reports come in. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the country is now at war.
McBride recently returned from a trip to Israel, where he visited Israeli security along the Gaza border and met with Palestinian authorities on the border with Lebanon and the Golan Heights.
“After having just visited some of the villages now being held by Hamas, my heart is heavy with grief for our Israeli allies and friends. This attack is unlike any conflict we’ve seen. It will be hard fought. Israel is one of the strongest allies of the United States, and the nation must be supported. Not only am I praying for my Israeli friends, but I am asking my fellow representatives here in Oklahoma and in our congressional delegation to support Israel in any way possible so they are protected and can fully recover from this baseless attack.”
