OKLAHOMA CITY – House Rep. Jason Lowe, D-Oklahoma City, held a press conference today to discuss health and safety concerns at the Oklahoma County Detention Center and the recent resignation of Oklahoma County jail CEO Brandi Garner.

“The recent report on the Oklahoma County Jail from the State Department of Health is deeply disturbing,” Lowe said. “This facility has not passed inspection for the past 6 years, and it's time that something be done to remedy the persisting issues.”

Sen. Nikki Nice, D-Oklahoma City, and OKC NAACP President Garland Pruitt also spoke during the press conference.
