Leader Munson sends condolences after passing of philanthropist, Tulsan Burt Holmes

OKLAHOMA CITY – House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson, D-Oklahoma City, released the following statement after the passing of Tulsan and QuikTrip co-founder Burt Holmes at 93.

“Burt Holmes was an exceptionally compassionate and generous Oklahoman who actively chose to make life better for his fellow Tulsans,” Leader Munson said. “My heart goes out to his family and friends and all those who knew him. In the last several years, he became a friend and someone I could look to for wisdom as we faced challenges in our state. I have been—and will always be—inspired by his tenacity, spirit of willingness, and his problem-solving nature that motivated him to make Oklahoma a better place for all of us. He cared deeply for Tulsa and the State of Oklahoma and always stood ready to support the people and causes he believed in. His legacy of generosity and service to all Oklahomans will forever endure.”
