OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Mark Tedford, R-Jenks, has been appointed by House Speaker Kyle Hilbert, R-Bristow, to the Governor’s Council for Workforce and Economic Development.

The Council leads statewide initiatives to expand Oklahomans’ access to high-demand careers and collaborates with industry partners to ensure education and training programs meet workforce needs.

“I’m grateful to Speaker Hilbert for trusting me with this opportunity,” Tedford said. “Workforce and economic development have always been areas I’m passionate about and I’m looking forward to working with stakeholders to find innovative ways to strengthen Oklahoma’s workforce and open doors for career growth across the state.”

Tedford’s term began Jan. 22, 2025.
